Our Story
Our story began almost thirty years ago when as young second-generation leaders of family distributorships we met at a networking event hosted by our trade association. The two of us became fast friends and were soon exchanging ideas and experiences. Like many in distribution we didn’t have a group of peers within our company to navigate challenges with. Instead, we often felt alone and soon came to understand what we, and those in our industry, needed.
We needed a place to find joy in being part of something bigger than ourselves. A community where we would enjoy the satisfaction of working towards a common goal and delight in building the skills we needed to get better in our roles at work. And while the two of us found the safety in each other to be vulnerable about our fears when it came to our business decisions, we wanted to create a safe space for others to explore their challenges together.

We didn’t have all the answers thirty years ago and we still don’t today, but over that time we’ve learned first-hand how powerful a network of peers is.
